The largest Dashkesen alunite deposit is a raw-material base for the aluminum industry of the Azerbaijan Republic.
In Azerbaijan there is a full technical cycle of reception of aluminum starting from extraction till the melting phase.
Alunite is extracted on "ZAYLIK" field, and then ore for the further processing is sent to Ganja aluminous plant.
Aluminum oxide produced is in plant transported to Sumgait aluminum plant, as raw material for initial production.
During the processing of alunite ore in Ganja plant, potash fertilizers, a sulfuric acid, oxide vanadium etc is produced.
Now "Azeraluminium" Joint-Stock Company is created on the basis of the enterprises of the aluminum industry.
